Graduated from St.Columba’s College Hazaribag and MA, M.Phil and Ph.D from Jawaharlal Nehru University(JNU), New Delhi; after acquiring M.Phil degree joined as a lecturer in Geography in 1996 at Ganesh Dutt College, Begusarai (A Constituent Unit of L.N.Mithila University, Darbhanga), Bihar and taught 09(Nine) years to graduate and Hons students as a permanent faculty; first book published on - International Tourism:–A Socio-Economic Perspective in Thailand in 2003 and second on-International Tourism in South-East Asia:-A Geographical Perspective in 2005; also published 27(twenty seven) research papers in national and international repute journals; presented papers & chaired sessions in national and international conferences; Joined IGNOU in 2006 as an Assistant Regional Director and worked 11 years at Regional Centre., Ranchi. Also worked as a Regional Director (I/c) at Regional Centre, Karnal-Haryana from May 2017 to September 2018.Currently posted at Regional Centre, Ranchi. Specialization and areas of interest are in Human and Social Geography, Population Geography, Political Geography, Tourism Geography, Environment, Education, Distance Education and any Interdisciplinary field; A life member of many Geographical Associations and Educational Societies in India.
